Privacy Policy

Last updated: 9 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how ContractorExit("ContractorExit", "we", "us") collects, uses and shares your personal information when you use contractorexit.com. Please read it alongside our Terms.

1. The information we collect

When you use our forms and tools, we may collect:

  • Business information - your trade or sector, location, years operating, annual revenue, annual profit, asking price and reason for selling.
  • Contact information - your name, email address and phone number.
  • Enquiry information - the listings you enquire about, your budget and any message you send.
  • Professional information - if you apply as a broker or lawyer, your firm, the markets you cover and details about your practice.
  • Technical information - basic usage data and a cookie that remembers your chosen market.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Provide our valuation tool and marketplace, and respond to your enquiries.
  • Connect sellers and buyers with suitable vetted brokers and lawyers from our network.
  • Match brokers and lawyers with relevant leads in their markets.
  • Improve our service and keep it secure.

3. Sharing your information with vetted partners

ContractorExit is a lead-generation and matchmaking service. When you submit a seller listing, a valuation enquiry or a buyer enquiry and tick the consent box, you agree that we may share the personal and business details you provide with vetted third-party business brokers and solicitors (lawyers) from our network so they can contact you and help with your sale or purchase.

We share only what is needed for them to assist you. We do not sell your personal information to advertisers. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at hello@contractorexit.com, though this will not affect introductions already made.

4. Our lawful basis

Where required, we rely on your consent (given via the checkbox on our forms) to share your details with brokers and lawyers, and on our legitimate interests in operating and improving the marketplace. Where we process the data to take steps at your request before entering a contract, we rely on that basis too.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the service and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal and operational requirements, then delete or anonymise it.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email hello@contractorexit.com.

7. Cookies

We use a small cookie to remember which market you're browsing so your experience stays consistent. We may use limited analytics to understand how the site is used.
